• The entire event - including both Swap Meets - will take place rain or shine. Indoor shelter will be available.
The Swap Meet will be held on both days in VANC's adjacent parking lot on Barnes St. The entrance gate to the lot opens at 7 am. Restrooms will be available at that time. Street parking near the gates is limited. To avoid traffic congestion, please do not arrive at the meet entrance prior to opening time.
Sale items will include antique & Ham radios, tubes & parts, records & phonographs, audio equipment, test gear and much more. Free coffee & pastries will be available each morning. A Donation Auction benefiting SCARS will be held mid-morning on Saturday.
Our swap meet is open to everyone, but you must be a current SCARS member to sell.

Various brief radio-related presentations are being considered for the afternoon from 2 - 4 pm in the VANC La Jolla Room. If you are interested in being a presenter, please contact Events Coordinator Joe Knight.
A no-host bar for SCARS members prior to dinner is also tentatively planned.
Dinner, Board Elections and a Feature Presentation (to be announced) are slated to take place in the La Jolla Room. Doors open at 5:30 pm. Friday's dinner is available to members for $30 per person.
Each person shall receive two entrees; Brown Sugar Brined Pork Loin and Baked Salmon, or they may select two servings of either entree. Sides include Mashed Potatoes and Seasonal Vegetables. A field green salad with tomato, red onions, cucumber, and carrots will also be offered, served with red wine vinaigrette dressing and dinner rolls. SCARS will provide cake for dessert.
Cold beverages consisting of iced tea, lemonade, and infused water will be offered.
Hot beverages including coffee, decaf coffee, and hot tea will also be available.
Saturday:
Following the swap meet, a brunch will be served at VANC. Doors open at 10:30 am. A Radio Contest will also be held. Categories tentatively include: Best Restoration, Home Brew, Crystal Sets, Novelty Radios (tube or transistor) and Miscellaneous. Cash prizes will be offered for each category; $25 for 1st place, $15 for 2nd and $10 for 3rd.
Saturday's brunch is available to members for $20 Per Person. The menu features
Pancakes with butter and syrup, Scrambled eggs, Breakfast sausage and bacon, Country style roast herb potatoes, and fresh fruit. Also on offer will be your choice of regular or decaf coffee, tea, water, and orange or cranberry juice.
